Our Founder's Story

My name is Keisha McCroskey. I want to introduce myself and my organization. I am a resilient and determined person who likes to make a difference where it matters most. I love helping others like me. I am a New Yorker born and raised in Harlem. I have overcome incredible odds and have now positioned myself to make a change in my community and the world.

I am a motivational speaker and community activist. I inspire, motivate, create, and support those in difficult situations. I have a big heart and will do whatever it takes to accomplish my goals. It was once said that pursuing happiness is everyone's right. If you give a person a chance to pursue it, you may find happiness for yourself.

Seeds For Growth and Development Inc. is located within the South Bronx community, where our low-income families can feel safe. Where life can be changed for the better and where there is a class of hope for the community. We aim to extend a helping hand and garner the resources needed to help our community meet its needs and enhance its future goals. We want people who have alcohol and drug problems to get the counseling they need. We want online or underemployed people to get the necessary help by helping them develop resumes that fit the jobs they're applying for. We want the folks to be computer literate; as a result, we're providing a safe environment for them to learn how to use the computer to fill out forms and take the necessary tests. That included a G.E.D Program, technology training, job readiness, and more. Visit us today. Together, we can heal, rebuild, and recover.
